Craving something sweet like ice cream? Have too many bananas that you don’t know what to do with? Banana nice cream is the perfect treat! It is vegan, has no added sugar, and makes up the perfect combo of carbs, proteins, and healthy fats! The combination of bananas with nut butter helps keep your blood sugar stable and is a great choice for people with diabetes or those looking to watch their weight! It is so easy to make, so satisfying to eat, and a great activities for kids too!
INGREDIENTS

3 bananas, frozen

1/2 cup almond milk or milk of choice

1 tbsp peanut butter or nut butter of choice

1 tbsp cocoa powder
DIRECTIONS

Freeze 3 bananas ahead of time

Put frozen bananas, almond milk, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and protein powder in blender or food processor

Blend together until smooth (note: the mixture should be pretty thick because you are turning it into ice cream!)

Once blended, transfer to a bowl and freeze for ~35 minutes

Scoop it out like ice cream or dig in like a smoothie bowl :)

Banana nice cream is easily adaptable and can be customized however way you’d like! If you’re a peanut butter lover, feel free to add an extra scoop in there! Not a chocolate fan? Substitute the cocoa powder with some vanilla extract, vanilla protein powder, and cinnamon! Whatever your taste preference is, you can start blending, taste test the ice cream, and add ingredients accordingly!

I freeze my bananas when they are overripe and browning but the recipe will also taste just as good with frozen ripe bananas!
