Nuts are a great snack while on the go, as a topping on soups, salads, yogurt, smoothie bowls or side dishes! While the nutrition content of nuts vary from each nut, they are a great source of plant based protein, healthy fats, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. They’re packed with healthy fats called monounsaturated fats, omega-6 and omega-3! As a snack, nuts paired with fruit make the perfect combo of healthy fats, protein, and carbs to keep your blood sugar stable. You can easily spice them up on your own and you won’t believe how ridiculously delicious they are when roasted!

INGREDIENTS

  • Any nut you like! I love using a package of mixed nuts that has almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, pumpkin seeds, and walnuts!

DIRECTIONS

  • All you have to do is lay nuts on a sheet pan, and roast the nuts on 350 degrees for 5 minutes and enjoy!

  • Be sure to watch the nuts because they tend to burn easily!

  • Sometimes, I mix the nuts mid way through at 2 minutes for a more even roast

Notes on the Recipe: â€‹

  • They are so delicious on their own, but can also be spiced up with some flavor. As soon as you take them out of the oven, feel free to add your favorite seasoning!

    • Seasoning ideas:

      • Salt and pepper

      • Chili powder for a kick

      • Nutritional yeast for a cheesy feel

      • Cinnamon and nutmeg for a sweet treat

ENJOY!
