I am an ice coffee fanatic. I drink ice coffee through a snow storm, so when I saw whipped coffee over ice trending the internet during quarantine, I was so excited. I immediately had to try this ice coffee treat. However, I decided to change things up and ditch the added sugar for some cinnamon and an egg white. I know it may sound strange, but trust me it’s crazy good! Whisk it up, pour it over ice with your milk of choice and enjoy this low cal whipped coffee treat! 

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp Instant ice coffee

  • 2 tbsp Hot water

  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

  • 1 Egg white

  • 1/2 Cup milk of choice (skim milk, whole milk, almond milk, cashew milk, oat milk)

  • Ice 

 

DIRECTIONS

  • In a medium sized bowl, add 2 tbsp of instant coffee, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 2 tbsp of hot water

  • Whisk briefly until the coffee is melted 

  • Add 1 egg white to the coffee

  • Whisk coffee and egg white together for about 5 minutes until the mixture foams and becomes more solid

  • Prepare each glass with ice and 1/4 cup of milk of choice, pour coffee mixture over ice and enjoy the coffee treat :)
